This is a REMASTER of my LD55 entry and FIRST game in Godot, A Following Wind

DESCRIPTION:

In this game, you play Zephyros, god of the wind. You must guide pilgrims (ships with white sails) to your temple unharmed, lest they be dashed upon the rocks or taken by pirates (ships with black sails). These same pirates wish to sack your temple! You must turn them away.

You gain score by successfully guiding ships to your temple in the center of the screen. Anytime your temple is raided, or a pilgrim crashes, this will reduce your worshippers’ faith in you. If your faith drops to zero, you lose! Increasing your score will also increase your faith.

INSTRUCTIONS:

You alter the course of ships by summoning gusts of wind. To summon a gust of wind, CLICK your left mouse button down. Then, DRAG your mouse (while still holding the mouse button down) to set the direction of the wind. Then RELEASE the mouse button to unleash the wind! In the new REMASTERED version, you have two ADDITIONAL spells available to you: the whirlwind and the lighting storm!

REMASTERED:

There are a number of NEW & REFINED features here in this release including:

  • NEW ship art including BIGGER variations of both the pilgrim & pirate ships
  • REMIXED music tracks that hopefully resolve volume issues in the originals
  • The jess::codes pixel art water shader for Godot, available on their GitHub
  • REWORKED wind spell, plus two BRAND NEW spells (vortex + lightning)
  • CAMERA movement and UI elements to help see ships coming in offscreen
  • REBALANCED gameplay and a game timer for another highscore to chase
  • A mysterious tentacled creature that may occasionally rise from the DEEP

I apologize for the lack of a tutorial. I couldn't work on this or wait any longer...
